Our wedding cakes can be fruit cake or daringly, ice cream
You can compromise with bottom layer ice cream and one or two, top layers in lovely rich fruit cake.
We cover the fruit cakes and royal icing with a further coating of white chocolate, then apply hand made, long ribbons of white chocolate to each of the three separate cakes.
After setting the cakes onto the stand, we decorated each layer with silk flowers and ivory ribbons.
If you are brave enough to have an ice cream wedding cake then ideally, you may like to have the cutting of the cake ceremony, in the evening when all of your guests are present
.
Although a little unusual you may actually like the thought of all of your guests being included in one of the elements of your wedding day.
The cake would then be the pudding, for your supper buffet for all of your guests.
Should your reception be taking place within an hour or so’s distance from Stonehaven, then I would come to the venue to set the cake up
and stay to remove the flowers. I would also prepare the cake for serving if you have chosen ice cream.
Why not come in to the shop and we can go over all of the scenarios of having one of our cakes to celebrate your wedding day.
The full price of each cake is £225
You may chose your preference for the colours of the ribbons. We require at least 24 hours notice to make your cake. Come and pick it up on the day, if you have a large freezer area or if serving immediately as your event is happening. Send one of your friends down to Stonehaven, to pick it up for you. Keep in mind we are open late till around 9pm or contact us if, you really do need it to be delivered Tel. 07974 825 514 Your cake will stand for about half an hour, so lots of time for photos. Will stand longer if the room is not too hot and the transportation was not too warm or too long. About 20 minutes to half an hour is no problem. Will last an hour to two hours in a freezer box and we do have a box you may borrow. An ice cream cake is not just as fragile as you may imagine.
